حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " فَصَفَّ صَفَّا (٣) خَلْفَهُ، وَصَفٌّ مُوَازِي الْعَدُوِّ "، قَالَ: وَهُمْ فِي صَلَاةٍ كُلُّهُمْ، قَالَ: "، ، وَكَبَّرَ (١) وَكَبَّرُوا جَمِيعًا، فَصَلَّى بِالصَّفِّ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ رَكْعَةً، وَصَفٌّ مُوَازِي الْعَدُوِّ "، قَالَ: " ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ هَؤُلَاءِ، وَجَاءَ هَؤُلَاءِ، فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً، ثُمَّ قَامَ هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ صَلَّى بِهِمُ الرَّكْعَةَ الثَّانِيَةَ، فَقَضَوْا مَكَانَهُمْ، ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ هَؤُلَاءِ إِلَى مَصَافِّ هَؤُلَاءِ، وَجَاءَ أُولَئِكَ فَقَضَوْا رَكْعَةً " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
An-Nazzal bin Sabrah said:
I heard a man reciting a verse differently than the way the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) taught it to me, so I took him by the hand and brought him to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), who said: “Both of you are good; do not differ." To the best of my knowledge, or as Mis'ar narrated it to me, “For those who came before you differed concerning it, then they were doomed."
