Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا بَشِيرُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ - كَانَ يَنْزِلُ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْمَطْمُورَةِ - عَنْ سَيَّارٍ (١) أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ أَصَابَتْهُ فَاقَةٌ، فَأَنْزَلَهَا بِالنَّاسِ، لَمْ تُسَدَّ فَاقَتُهُ، وَمَنْ أَنْزَلَهَا بِاللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، أَوْشَكَ اللهُ لَهُ بِالْغِنَى، إِمَّا أَجَلٌ عَاجِلٌ، أَوْ غِنًى عَاجِلٌ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Khalid bin Ribʼi al-Asadi that he heard Ibn Mas'ood (رضي الله عنه) say:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "Your companion is the close friend of Allah, may He be glorified and exalted.”
