حَدَّثَنَا أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (١) ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ اللهَ قَدْ قَتَلَ أَبَا جَهْلٍ، فَقَالَ: " الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي نَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ، وَأَعَزَّ دِينَهُ " وَقَالَ مَرَّةً - يَعْنِي أُمَيَّةَ -: " صَدَقَ عَبْدَهُ (٢) ، وَأَعَزَّ دِينَهُ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that `Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say the salam to his right and to his left until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen: As-salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullah,"
