Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَعُودُ فِي صَدَقَتِهِ كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي يَعُودُ فِي قَيْئِهِ " (٣) .،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Umar. (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said. “The likeness of the one who goes back his charity is that of one who goes back to his vomit.”
