حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ، حَدَّثَهُمْ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذْنُكَ عَلَيَّ أَنْ تَرْفَعَ الْحِجَابَ، وَأَنْ تَسْمَعَ (١) سِوَادِي، حَتَّى أَنْهَاكَ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that ‘Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) said:
I came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: O Messenger of Allah, Allah has caused Abu Jahl to be killed. He said: "Praise be to Allah Who has granted victory to His slave and caused His religion to prevail." On one occasion he - i.e. Umayyah - said: "... Who has fulfilled His promise to His slave and has caused His religion to prevail."
