Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ:، أَنَّ عُمَرَ قَبَّلَهُ وَالْتَزَمَهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِكَ حَفِيًّا - يَعْنِي الْحَجَرَ - (١) .،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Suwaid bin Ghafalah that `Umar (رضي الله عنه) kissed it and touched it, then he said:
I saw Abul-Qasim (ﷺ) show respect to you - meaning the Black Stone.
