حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ: وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنَ ابْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ الْإِسْلَامَ بَدَأَ غَرِيبًا، وَسَيَعُودُ كَمَا بَدَأَ (١) ، فَطُوبَى لِلْغُرَبَاءِ "، قِيلَ: وَمَنِ الْغُرَبَاءُ؟ قَالَ: " النُّزَّاعُ مِنَ الْقَبَائِلِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that ‘Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) said:
We were with the Prophet (ﷺ) on a journey and when they did not find any water, a vessel of water was brought. The Prophet (ﷺ) put his hand in it and spread his fingers apart, and I saw water spring up between the fingers of the Prophet (ﷺ). Then he said: "Come and do wudoo' and the blessing is from Allah." Al-A'mash said: Salim bin Abul-Ja'd told me. I said to Jabir bin ‘Abdullah. How many were the people? He said: We were one thousand and five hundred
