حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنْ حَنَشٍ الصَّنْعَانِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ،، أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ الْجِنِّ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ، أَمَعَكَ مَاءٌ؟ " قَالَ: مَعِي نَبِيذٌ فِي إِدَاوَةٍ، فَقَالَ " اصْبُبْ عَلَيَّ "، فَتَوَضَّأَ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ، شَرَابٌ وَطَهُورٌ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that ‘Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prostrated in Soorat an-Najm, and there was no one among the people who did not prostrate, except an old man who took a handful of pebbles and raised it to his forehead, and he said: This is enough for me. And ‘Abdullah said: I saw him slain as a kafir.
