حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى الْجَابِرُ أَبُو الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيُّ، أَنَّ أَبَا مَاجدٍ، رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي حَنِيفَةَ، حَدَّثَهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ: سَأَلْنَا نَبِيَّنَا صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (١) ، عَنِ السَّيْرِ بِالْجِنَازَةِ؟ فَقَالَ: " السَّيْرُ مَا دُونَ الْخَبَبِ، فَإِنْ يَكُ خَيْرًا تُعْجَلْ (٢) إِلَيْهِ - أَوْ قَالَ: لِتُعْجَلْ إِلَيْهِ - وَإِنْ يَكُ سِوَى ذَاكَ، فَبُعْدًا لِأَهْلِ النَّارِ، الْجِنَازَةُ مَتْبُوعَةٌ، وَلَا تَتْبَعُ، لَيْسَ مِنْهَا (٣) مَنْ تَقَدَّمَهَا " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from a man of the Ansar that
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Horses are of three types..." And he narrated the hadeeth.
