حَدَّثَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لِيَتَّقِ أَحَدُكُمْ وَجْهَهُ النَّارَ، وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that ‘Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) said:
Some people asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about a companion of theirs who cauterized himself, and he remained silent Then the third time (they asked) he said: "Cauterize him with hot stones, burn him." And he disliked that.
