Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَنْبَأَنَا حُصَيْنٌ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّانَ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ، عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِيَ اقْرَأْ عَلَيَّ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ، قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ لَهُ (١) : أَلَيْسَ مِنْكَ تَعَلَّمْتُهُ، وَأَنْتَ تُقْرِئُنَا؟ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ، فَقَالَ: " اقْرَأْ عَلَيَّ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ "، قَالَ (٢) : فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ أُنْزِلَ، وَمِنْكَ تَعَلَّمْنَاهُ؟ قَالَ: " بَلَى، وَلَكِنِّي (٣) أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَسْمَعَهُ مِنْ غَيْرِي " (٤)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from ‘Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) that
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “This world will not end until the Arabs are ruled by a man from my family whose name is the same as mine."
