Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، مَاتَتْ شَاةٌ لِمَيْمُونَةَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " هَلَّا اسْتَمْتَعْتُمْ بِإِهَابِهَا؟ " فَقَالُوا: إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ فَقَالَ: " إِنَّ دِبَاغَ الْأَدِيمِ طُهُورُهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) died when I was fifteen years old.
