Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو حَاضِرٍ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ عَنِ الْجَرِّ، يُنْبَذُ فِيهِ؟ فَقَالَ: " نَهَى اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ عَنْهُ " فَانْطَلَقَ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَذَكَرَ لَهُ مَا قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: صَدَقَ قَالَ الرَّجُلُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَيُّ جَرٍّ نَهَى عَنْهُ؟ قَالَ: " كُلُّ شَيْءٍ يُصْنَعُ مِنْ مَدَرٍ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "I have been supported with the east wind, and 'Ad were destroyed with the west wind."
