Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ " عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ، بِالْبَطْحَاءِ إِذَا فَاتَتْنِي الصَّلَاةُ فِي الْجَمَاعَةِ فَقَالَ: رَكْعَتَيْنِ تِلْكَ سُنَّةُ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was sent when he was forty years old. He stayed in Makkah for thirteen years, receiving Revelation, then he was commanded to migrate, so he migrated (and stayed in Madinah) for ten years, then he died when he was sixty-three years old.
