Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ فِي بَيْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ، " فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، فَقُمْتُ مَعَهُ عَلَى يَسَارِهِ، فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي، فَجَعَلَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً، حَزَرْتُ قَدْرَ قِيَامِهِ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ قَدْرَ: يَا أَيُّهَا الْمُزَّمِّلُ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade intercepting the riders (incoming traders) and forbade townspeople selling on behalf of a Bedouin. He (the narrator) said: I said to Ibn 'Abbas, what does “townspeople selling on behalf of Bedouin" mean? He said: He should not be a broker for him.
