Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَطَاءٌ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنَّ خِذَامًا أَبَا وَدِيعَةَ (١) ، أَنْكَحَ ابْنَتَهُ رَجُلًا، فَأَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاشْتَكَتْ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهَا أُنْكِحَتْ وَهِيَ كَارِهَةٌ، فَانْتَزَعَهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ زَوْجِهَا، وَقَالَ: " لَا تُكْرِهُوهُنَّ "، قَالَ: فَنَكَحَتْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أَبَا لُبَابَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ، وَكَانَتْ ثَيِّبًا (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
‘Umar bin ‘Ata’ bin Abil-Khuwar narrated that he heard Ibn 'Abbas say:
Whilst the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was eating a bone with some meat on it, the mu'adhdhin came to him, so he put it down and got up to pray, and he did not do wadoo’.
