Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَدِرْعُهُ مَرْهُونَةٌ عِنْدَ يَهُودِيٍّ بِثَلَاثِينَ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ، أَخَذَهُ طَعَامًا لِأَهْلِهِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas and from Thabit from Anas that
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to deliver the khutbah leaning on a palm trunk... And he narrated a similar report.
