حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ يَوْمِ عَاشُورَاءَ فَقَالَ: " إِذَا رَأَيْتَ هِلَالَ الْمُحَرَّمِ فَاعْدُدْ، فَإِذَا أَصْبَحْتَ مِنْ تَاسِعَةٍ، فَأَصْبِحْ صَائِمًا " قَالَ يُونُسُ، فَأُنْبِئْتُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: أَكَذَاكَ صَامَ مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There is no prostitution of slave girls in Islam. Whoever engaged in such prostitution during the Jahiliyyah (and a child was born as a result), the child is to be attributed to the owners (of the slave girl), and whoever claims a child outside of marriage does not inherit from (the child) and cannot be inherited from (by the child).
