Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ الْعُطَارِدِيِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " اطَّلَعْتُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ، فَرَأَيْتُ أَكْثَرَ أَهْلِهَا الْفُقَرَاءَ، وَاطَّلَعْتُ فِي النَّارِ، فَرَأَيْتُ أَكْثَرَ أَهْلِهَا النِّسَاءَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) died, his shield was being held in pledge by a Jew for thirty sa’s of barley, which he took to feed his family,
