Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنِ ابْنِ وَعْلَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَهْدَى إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَاوِيَةَ خَمْرٍ، فَقَالَ: " إِنَّ الْخَمْرَ قَدْ حُرِّمَتْ " فَدَعَا رَجُلًا فَسَارَّهُ، فَقَالَ: " مَا أَمَرْتَهُ؟ " فقَالَ: أَمَرْتُهُ بِبَيْعِهَا، قَالَ: " فَإِنَّ الَّذِي حَرَّمَ شُرْبَهَا حَرَّمَ بَيْعَهَا " قَالَ: فَصُبَّتْ (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Tawoos said: Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Prophet (ﷺ) did not pray inside it (the Ka'bah) but he paused at each of its corners.
