Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ (٢) ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، وَرَوْحٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَهُ مَعَ (٣) أَهْلِهِ إِلَى مِنًى لَيْلَةَ النَّحْرِ، فَرَمَيْنَا الْجَمْرَةَ مَعَ الْفَجْرِ " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed in a cloak and he used its extra length to protect himself from the heat and cold of the ground.
