Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَمَانِيًا جَمِيعًا، وَسَبْعًا جَمِيعًا "، قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: لِمَ فَعَلَ ذَاكَ؟ قَال: أَرَادَ أَنْ لَا يُحْرِجَ أُمَّتَهُ (١)،

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) and Sa'eed bin jubair that
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) put two prayers together when travelling.
