حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " يَرِثُ الْوَلَاءَ مَنْ وَرِثَ (٢) الْمَالَ مِنْ وَالِدٍ، أَوْ وَلَدٍ " (٣) .،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that ʼUmar bin al-Khattab said:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: `The loyalty (wala`) of a freed slave (to his former master) is passed on to the one who inherits his wealth, father or son.”
