Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: " أَنَّ الصَّعْبَ بْنَ جَثَّامَةَ أَهْدَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَجُزَ حِمَارٍ يَقْطُرُ دَمًا، وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ، فَرَدَّهُ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade killing bees, ants, sparrow hawks and hoopoes. Yahya said: And I saw in the book of Sufyan: It was narrated from Juraij, from Ibn Abi Labeed, from az-Zuhri.
