Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ (٢) بْنُ فَرُّوخَ، حَدَّثَنِي حَبِيبٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي فِي مَسْجِدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَكَانَ يُكَبِّرُ إِذَا سَجَدَ، وَإِذَا رَفَعَ، وَإِذَا خَفَضَ، فَأَنْكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ، فَذَكَرْتُهُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ؟ فَقَالَ: " لَا أُمَّ لَكَ، تِلْكَ صَلاةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
I learned al-Muhkam at the time of The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and the Prophet (ﷺ) died when I was ten years old. I (the narrator) said to him: What is al-Muhkam? He said: Al-Mufassal.
