حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، سُئِلَ عَنْ أَوْلَادِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ، قَالَ: " اللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا عَامِلِينَ إِذْ خَلَقَهُمْ " (١) .،
Translation
English translation
Shu'aib said: az-Zuhri was asked: Is ghusl obligatory on Friday? He said: Salim bin 'Abdullah bin 'Umar told me that he heard 'Abdullah bin 'Umar say:
I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: “Whoever among you comes to Jumu’ah, let him do ghusl." Tawoos said: I said to Ibn 'Abbas. They said that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Do ghusl on Friday and wash your heads, even if you are not junub, and put on perfume.” Ibn 'Abbas said: As for ghusl, yes; as for perfume, I do not know.
