Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " الْعَائِدُ فِي هِبَتِهِ كَالْكَلْبِ يَقِيءُ، ثُمَّ يَعُودُ فِيهِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever claims to belong to someone other than his father, or to someone other than his masters, upon him be the curse of Allah, the angels and all the people.”
