Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الَّرحْمَنِ، مَوْلَى أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " كَانَ اسْمُ جُوَيْرِيَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ بَرَّةَ، فَحَوَّلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْمَهَا، فَسَمَّاهَا جُوَيْرِيَةَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Sa'eed bin Jubair said:
I heard Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) say: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) married my maternal aunt Maimoonah al-Hilaliyyah when he was in ihram.
