حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: {كُنْتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ} [آل عمران: ١١٠] ، قَالَ: " أَصْحَابُ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا مَعَهُ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to review the Qur'an with Jibreel (عليه السلام) every Ramadan, and the morning after the night in which he reviewed it, he would be more generous than the blowing wind; he was not asked for anything but he gave it. In the month (of Ramadan) after which he died, he reviewed it with him twice.
