حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَرْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، لِعُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ: " يَا عُرَيَّةُ، سَلْ أُمَّكَ: أَلَيْسَ قَدْ جَاءَ أَبُوكَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَحَلَّ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to review the Qur'an with Jibreel once every year, and in the year in which he died, he reviewed it with him twice. And the recitation of ‘Abdullah was the final mode of recitation.
