Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْبُوبُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ بَرَكَةَ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَعَنَ اللهُ الْيَهُودَ، حُرِّمَ عَلَيْهِمِ الشُّحُومُ، فَبَاعُوهَا، فَأَكَلُوا أَثْمَانَهَا، وَإِنَّ اللهَ إِذَا حَرَّمَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ شَيْئًا، حَرَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ ثَمَنَهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) cursed women who visit the graves and those who build places of worship and place lamps over them.
