Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قِيلَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ فَرَغَ مِنْ بَدْرٍ: عَلَيْكَ الْعِيرَ، لَيْسَ دُونَهَا شَيْءٌ. قَالَ: فَنَادَاهُ الْعَبَّاسُ وَهُوَ أَسِيرٌ فِي وَثَاقِهِ: لَا يَصْلُحُ. قَالَ: فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لِمَ؟ " قَالَ: لِأَنَّ اللهَ قَدْ (٤) وَعَدَكَ إِحْدَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ، وَقَدْ أَعْطَاكَ مَا وَعَدَكَ (٥)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Good dreams are one of the seventy parts of Prophethood.”
