Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَطَاءٌ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ: عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ عَلَيَّ بَدَنَةً، وَأَنَا مُوسِرٌ بِهَا (٢) ، وَلا أَجِدُهَا فَأَشْتَرِيَهَا؟ " فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَبْتَاعَ سَبْعَ شِيَاهٍ، فَيَذْبَحَهُنَّ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “No man should be under the same cover as another man and no woman (should be under the same over) as another woman.”
