Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " اجْتَنِبُوا أَنْ تَشْرَبُوا فِي الْحَنْتَمِ، وَالدُّبَّاءِ، وَالْمُزَفَّتِ، وَاشْرَبُوا فِي السِّقَاءِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Let him give a dinar in charity, and if he cannot find a dinar, then half a dinar.”
