Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ يَعْنِى ابْنَ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ أَيُّوبَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " نَزَلَ (٤) الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَحْرُفٍ أَيَّهَا قَرَأْتَ أَجْزَأَكَ " (٥)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umm Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The Noble Qur'an has been revealed on seven letters; whichever letter you recite with, it will suffice for you."
