Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَتَكَلَّمَ بِكَلامٍ بَيِّنٍ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ مِنَ البَيَانِ سِحْرًا، وَإِنَّ مِنَ الشِّعْرِ حُكْمًا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
I prayed behind the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and I saw him holding his arms away from his body, and I saw the whiteness of his armpits.
