Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا اخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِي الطَّرِيقِ، فَدَعُوا سَبْعَ أَذْرُعٍ، ثُمَّ ابْنُوا، وَمَنْ سَأَلَهُ جَارُهُ أَنْ يَدْعَمَ عَلَى حَائِطِهِ، فَلْيَدَعْهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“I have been commanded to prostrate on seven bones: the forehead, - and he pointed to his nose - the two hands, the two knees and the toes, and not to tuck up my garment or hair.”
