Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ بِلَالِ بْنِ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " حُبُّكَ الشَّيْءَ يُعْمِي ويُصِمُّ (١) " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Love for something makes you blind and deaf.
