Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّهْشَلِيُّ، عَنْ مَرْزُوقٍ أَبِي بَكْرٍ (٢) التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ رَدَّ عَنْ عِرْضِ أَخِيهِ رَدَّ اللهُ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ النَّارَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever defends the honor of his Muslim brother, it is incumbent upon Allah to keep the fire of Hell away from him on the Day of Resurrection. Alqama says: Once I reached Syria... then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith.
