Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، قَالَ: كَانَ فِينَا رَجُلٌ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ قَالَ: فَرَحَلَ إِلَى أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " الْوَالِدُ أَوْسَطُ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet saying: The father is the middle gate of Paradise.
