Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْغَرَرِ " (١) قَالَ أَيُّوبُ: وَفَسَّرَ يَحْيَى، بَيْعَ الْغَرَرِ، قَالَ: " إِنَّ مِنَ الغَرَرِ ضَرْبَةَ الْغَائِصِ، وَبَيْعُ الْغَرَرِ الْعَبْدُ الْآبِقُ، وَبَيْعُ الْبَعِيرِ الشَّارِدِ، وَبَيْعُ الْغَرَرِ مَا، ، فِي بُطُونِ الْأَنْعَامِ، وَبَيْعُ الْغَرَرِ تُرَابُ الْمَعَادِنِ، وَبَيْعُ الْغَرَرِ مَا فِي ضُرُوعِ الْأَنْعَامِ، إِلا بِكَيْلٍ "،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Prophet (ﷺ) came, after he had been ill, and circumambulated the House on a camel. He had with him a crooked stick, and every time he passed by it (the Black Stone), he touched it with it. When he had finished his tawaf, he dismounted and prayed two rak’ahs.
