Abdullah bin Yazid says that I asked Saeed bin Musayyib about the lizard, and he declared it disliked. I said to him, "Your people eat it?" He replied, "They might not know." Upon this, a man present there said, "I heard this hadith from Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade every animal obtained through plunder, that which is snatched, or every predator that hunts with its canine teeth." Saeed bin Musayyib affirmed this.
