Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Thaqib or Abu Thaqib that a man entered the mosque of Damascus and made this supplication: "O Allah! Grant me a companion in my solitude, have mercy on my estrangement, and grant me a good friend." Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) heard his supplication and said, "If you are making this supplication sincerely, then I am more fortunate than you in this supplication. I heard the Prophet interpreting this verse of the Noble Qur'an, saying that the oppressor will be held accountable for his deeds at that very place, and that will be the grief and estimation, meaning some people will be of a moderate rank, their reckoning will be easy, and these are the people who will enter Paradise without any reckoning."
