حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ حَمْنَةَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ أَنَّهَا اسْتُحِيضَتْ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي اسْتَحَضْتُ حَيْضَةً مُنْكَرَةً شَدِيدَةً فَقَالَ لَهَا: " احْتَشِي كُرْسُفًا " قَالَتْ: إِنِّهُ (١) أَشَدُّ مِنْ ذَلِكَ إِنِّي أَثُجُّ ثَجًّا، قَالَ: " تَلَجَّمِي، وَتَحَيَّضِي فِي كُلِّ شَهْرٍ فِي عِلْمِ اللهِ سِتَّةَ أَيَّامٍ أَوْ سَبْعَةً ثُمَّ اغْتَسِلِي (٢) غُسْلًا، وَصَلِّي (٣) ، وَصُومِي ثَلَاثًا وَعِشْرِينَ، أَوْ أَرْبَعًا وَعِشْرِينَ وَأَخِّرِي الظُّهْرَ وَقَدِّمِي الْعَصْرَ وَاغْتَسِلِي لَهُمَا (٤) غُسْلًا، وَأَخِّرِي الْمَغْرِبَ وَقَدِّمِي الْعِشَاءَ وَاغْتَسِلِي لَهُمَا غُسْلًا وَهَذَا أَحَبُّ الْأَمْرَيْنِ إِلَيَّ " (٥)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Hamnah bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her) that once I presented myself before the Prophet (ﷺ) and said that I have very severe and continuous menstrual bleeding. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Use a cloth." I said that it is more severe than that (it does not stop with a cloth), and I am flowing like a stream. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "In that case, count six or seven days of each month as your menstrual period according to Allah's knowledge, then perform ghusl (ritual bath) and for the next twenty-three or twenty-four days, offer prayers and keep fasts. And keep this arrangement: perform ghusl once for the Fajr prayer, then delay Zuhr and bring Asr forward and perform ghusl once to offer both these prayers together, then delay Maghrib and bring Isha forward and perform ghusl once to offer both these prayers together. I prefer this method over the other method."
