Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ، وَأَبُو بِشْرٍ، عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنْ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ، وَكُلِّ ذِي مِخْلَبٍ مِنَ الطَّيْرِ " (١)،

English translation
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was
Optimistic and not superstitious, and he liked good names.
