English translation

Umm Jameel, the mother of Muhammad bin Hatib (may Allah be pleased with him), says: Once I was bringing you from the land of Abyssinia. When I was one or two nights away from Madinah Munawwarah, I started cooking food for you. Meanwhile, the firewood ran out. I went out in search of wood, and you struck your hand on the pot, causing it to overturn and fall on your arm. I took you to the service of the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: O Messenger of Allah! May my parents be sacrificed for you, this is Muhammad bin Hatib. The Prophet (ﷺ) put his blessed saliva in your mouth, passed his hand over your head, and prayed for you. The Prophet (ﷺ) kept putting his blessed saliva on your hand and kept saying: « أَذْهِبْ الْبَاسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ, وَاشْفِ وَأَنْتَ الشَّافِي, لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ, شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا » "O Lord of the people! Remove this pain and grant healing, for You are the Healer. There is no healing except Your healing. Grant such a healing that leaves no trace of illness." I had not even managed to lift you from the presence of the Prophet (ﷺ) when your hand was healed.
