Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، الْحَجُّ كُلَّ عَامٍ؟ فَقَالَ: " بَلْ حَجَّةٌ عَلَى كُلِّ إِنْسَانٍ، وَلَوْ قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، كُلَّ عَامٍ، لَكَانَ كُلَّ عَامٍ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) praying in a single garment, wrapping himself in it, protecting himself in it from the coldness or heat of the ground.
