وَمِنْ حَدِيثِ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ (١)، ٢٧٣٩٤ - حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، حَدَّثَتْنِي عَمَّتِي أُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا كَانَ عِنْدَهَا فِي يَوْمِهَا ـ أَوْ لَيْلَتِهَا ـ فَسَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ قَالَ كَمَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) heard the muezzin giving the call to prayer, he would repeat the same words that he was saying until he became silent.
