حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، أَنَّ أَبَا مُرَّةَ مَوْلَى أُمِّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أُمَّ هَانِئٍ تَقُولُ: ذَهَبْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ فَوَجَدْتُهُ يَغْتَسِلُ وَفَاطِمَةُ ابْنَتُهُ تَسْتُرُهُ بِثَوْبٍ، قَالَتْ: فَسَلَّمْتُ، فَقَالَ: " مَنْ هَذِهِ؟ "، قَالَ: قَالَتْ: أُمُّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، فَقَالَ: " مَرْحَبًا بِأُمِّ هَانِئٍ "، قَالَتْ: فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ غُسْلِهِ قَامَ فَصَلَّى ثَمَانِيَ رَكَعَاتٍ مُلْتَحِفًا فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، زَعَمَ ابْنُ أُمِّي أَنَّهُ قَاتِلٌ رَجُلًا أَجَرْتُهُ فُلَانَ، ، ابْنَ هُبَيْرَةَ فَقَالَ: " قَدْ أَجَرْنَا مَنْ أَجَرْتِ يَا أُمَّ هَانِئٍ (١) "، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ هَانِئٍ (٢) : وَذَاكَ ضُحًى (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) that on the day of the conquest of Makkah, I granted protection to my two brothers-in-law "who were among the polytheists." Meanwhile, the Prophet (ﷺ) arrived, covered in dust and wrapped in a cloak. Upon seeing me, the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Welcome, Umm Hani." I submitted: O Messenger of Allah! I have granted protection to my two brothers-in-law "who were among the polytheists." The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever you have granted protection, we also grant protection; whoever you have given safety, we also give safety." Then the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), she brought water, and the Prophet (ﷺ) performed ghusl (ritual bath) with it. Then, wrapping himself well in a cloth, he offered eight rak‘ahs (units of prayer). This happened at the time of forenoon (duha) on the day of the conquest of Makkah.
