Original Arabic
حَدِيثُ أُمِّ كُرْزٍ الْكَعْبِيَّةِ الْخَثْعَمِيَّةُ (١)، ٢٧٣٦٩ - حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَنْصُورٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ كُرْزٍ الْكَعْبِيَّةِ الْخَثْعَمِيَّةِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْعَقِيقَةِ فَقَالَ: " عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ مُكَافَأَتَانِ، وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umm Karz (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "For a boy, two goats should be sacrificed for 'Aqiqah, and for a girl, one goat."
